Very well done! The desperation, the memories, the fear that if Clark doesn't come, Lex is truly damned...excellent! Sometimes the not-knowing gives hope, while the knowing kills it.
Sadly, Clark hasn't given up, not completely, but Lex is too afraid to find that out.
