And so, I'm reading along, nodding, all sad and philosophical, and suddenly I realize the tears are just streaming down my face. This hurts so much for them, and neither of them knows how to fix it. I love having both POVs--it beautifully illustrates how they are different, and what each has lost, what they both need to recover. Gorgeous work.
